Konnichiwa minna-san!

Let's start out with something here I found on Wikipedia.

Epistaxis (Nosebleed) is the relatively common occurrence of hemorrhage (bleeding) from the nose, usually noticed when it drains out through the nostrils. There are two types: anterior (the most common), and posterior (less common, more likely to require medical attention).

*looks at above statements* I honestly thought 'posterior' meant the back/behind of something. Mah! *shrugs* Continuing on...

The cause of nosebleeds can generally be divided into two categories, local and systemic factors, although it should be remembered that a significant number of nosebleeds occur with non obvious cause.

Local Factors: (I'll write only some)
  1. Chemical inhalant
  2. Inflammatory reaction (eg. acute respiratory tract infections, chronic sinusitis [this is what I have since I was born], allergic rhinitis and environmental irritants)
  3. Nasal prong O2 which tends to dry the nasal mucosa
  4. Nasal sprays, particularly prolonged or improper use of nasal steroids
  5. Trauma (usually a sharp blow to the face)
  6. [This is the best...] Nose picking!
Systemic Factors:
  1. Drugs - Aspirin, desmopressin and others
  2. Alcohol (due to vasodilation)
  3. Allergies
  4. Heart failure (due to an increase in venous pressure)
  5. Hypertension
  6. Infectious diseases
  7. Narcotics, particularly inhaled cocaine
  8. Pregnancy
Treatment (I'm only writing the simple measures)

The flow of blood normally stops when the blood clots, which may be encourage by direct pressure applied by pinching the soft fleshy part of the nose. This applies pressure to littles area, the source of the majority of nose bleeds and promotes clotting.

Pressure should be firm and be applied for at least 10 minutes whilst leaning forward and spitting out any blood which flows into the mouth. There is no benefit to pinching the bridge of the nose or to tilting the head back.

Local application of an ice pack to the forehead or back of the neck or sucking an ice cube can also help by promoting constriction of local blood vessels and thus reducing blood flow.

There! Why am I writing this down? Because I woke up this morning and was horrified to find blood on my blanket (which was OVER me - if it was UNDER me, I would understand). I went to rub my nose (due to the fact that it was itchy) and was even MORE horrified to find blood on my hands!

Cleverly *coughBULLSHITcough* deducing that I had a nosebleed, I went to the bathroom to find somewhat dried blood around my nose and more pouring down. I washed the best that I could and told my grandmum. She panicked more than me but she panicked calmly. Was that even possible? I guess have six kids does help =)

She gave me a tissue to stop the flow and ice water to wash my face because my face was heaty. >.< style="font-weight: bold;">AND together with the nosebleed, every time I sniff, I taste blood! EWW! Mah-jis-ne! (Translated: It's disgusting! Sorry if it's wrong. I got it from Nakamaru Yuichi when I was watching Cartoon KAT-TUN when he said those words and the subtitles came out. I'm writing it out as how I heard it >.<) *sighs* On another note, I'm really worried for my studies. But the thing is, I'm not SO worried. And I want to be. I wanna scare myself to start working like crazy! Lolz I guess I'll do my best! Ganbatte ne, Leah-chan?

I think this is pretty much what I wanna say at the moment. I'm so curious with the nosebleed that I had to write it out. ^_^

I love music. It is my whole life. I can't survive with it.
I hope to be able to play the drums or guitar (electric) [that's once i have enough money to buy one].

I'm currently into Japanese music, and I love mixing their fashion with my own taste! ^_^

My new love is dancing, alongside singing, acting, writing romance fiction and creating fashion styles.
It allows me to express myself when I can't.
It relieves me from my stress.
Overall, I love dancing - I just need to get a confidence for it.

Hanging out with friends is another plus in my life. Friends, to me, equals to loyalty and honesty.
